How do I Create a Customer?

When using the POS system step 1 is selecting a customer

  1. Using Tournkey's POS you can quickly and easily support a customer purchase on site or over the phone. Navigate to the left-hand menu under sales where you can click POS.

Recommendation: Do not ask customers to send payment information by email or text. If you intend to receive payment information do it by phone and enter it directly into Tournkey.
  2. On the next screen select the event where your customer is looking to make a purchase. You can add multiple events or products to the same cart.
  3. Once you've selected an event choose the product you are looking to sell:
    1. Tickets
    2. Registration
    3. Items from the Event Store
    4. Hotels (Coming Soon)
  4. Adding products to a cart:
    1. Buying Tickets: To add a ticket to the cart simply select a type and quantity then hit 'Add to cart'
    2. Creating a Registration:
      1. Select a Division
      2. Search the customer's email to see if they've already created a Tournkey Account
      3. Select a Team
      4. If the user does not have a team you can create a team and a new user account all at the same time
      5. Once you've selected or created a team you can must review the refund policy and terms of conditions with the customer. All event organizers are responsible fraudulent transactions or errors. Funds can be refunded but platform fees are non-refundable.
      6. After completing a review of the purchase terms select the payment options you've enabled for your event
      7. Once you've selected a payment option the amount will be added to the cart and you can complete the transaction by collecting payment details or navigate back to the POS to add more to the purchase.
      8. When the customer is ready to complete their purchase you will need to record their payment details. All payment details are stored securely by a third-party separate from customer data.
        • For premium event users you can accept manual payment onsite or at your office/home/headquarters. This included terminal transactions if you wish to accept cards on site.
      9. If you'd like to offer your customer a promo code you can quickly add a discount code before completing the transaction
      10. Finally, you'll be asked to ensure the customer is ok with you creating an account on their behalf and creating a transaction. Please remember that organizers are responsible for all transactions. Once you've entered all of the required data the pay button will illuminate and you can complete the transaction.
